Trauma Education, Resilience & Processing

We’re here to guide with empathy and skill

Living through a traumatic experience can leave a lasting impact on your life. It can make you feel isolated, anxious, and stuck. in cycles that sabotage your goals. This group is designed to provide a safe space where you can learn, explore your feelings and start to rebuild your sense of strength and resilience.

This group is broken down into 3 parts.
1. Education of what trauma is and how it impacts and changes your body and brain.
2. Identify and build your own set of resilience skills to support a bounce back effect when life happens.
3. Process a specific traumatic event that is impacting your life in negative ways. The purpose is to gain mastery over what happened to you, to instill hope, improve daily functioning, connect with others who can relate, and experience your capability of resilience and growth.

Trauma Education, Resilience & Processing Group Summary

This group is designed for young adults (18-28) who have experienced a traumatic event and it is impacting their daily life in a negative way. Using the components of TF-CBT as a guide, the group is divided into three parts: psychoeducation, building resilience skills, and trauma narration/processing.

The purpose of the group is to provide a supportive environment where clients have the opportunity to understand trauma, learn coping skills, grounding techniques, and personal empowerment skills, engage in cognitive processing, and develop/process a trauma narrative with a specific group appropriate trauma event to foster resilience and connection.

We encourage clients to join who could benefit from trauma processing and are seeking to enhance their resilience skills and make sense of the event.
If this sounds like something you could benefit from, we’d love to have you join us. To learn more to sign up, give us a call or fill out the group therapy form.
