From the Desk of Nicole Kanaras, RCSWI
Hi, I'm Nicole. I believe that healing starts with a choice. My core philosophy focuses on the profound connection between the mind and body and the necessity of finding self-confidence and safety in your life and relationships.
Many of my clients come in not feeling safe—in their own bodies, relationships, or the world. I specialize in guiding them through that pain, using structured modalities like TF-CBT to make past trauma a small, manageable part of life, rather than the controlling force.
If you're ready to take the leap towards wellness, I'm here to provide the compassionate support you need. Together, we'll build the skills necessary for you to thrive and recognize that correction is not criticism—it's a path toward growth.

The Client Experience: Finding Safety and Trust
The Biggest Pain Point: Clients often feel unsafe or disconnected, stuck in past trauma, and may engage in risky, self-destructive behaviors to cope.
Before & After
Rewarding Outcome: The reintegration of your past self with your present self. You learn to make past trauma a small part of your life, rather than the controlling force.
Common Journey: Clients move from combative and self-destructive patterns to becoming a leader who excels in school and uses healthy coping mechanisms.
Addressing Misconceptions
Nicole addresses deeply rooted negative beliefs such as, "This is all there is to life," or "No one cares what happens to me." She helps clients measure progress through goal check-ins and solution-focused techniques, always reminding them: "Correction is not criticism."
