Policies

Cancelation Policy –Your scheduled session time slot is valuable. If for any reason you need to cancel, it is required you contact your provider at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. We reserve the right to charge the session fee for a cancelation within the 24 hours of the appointment.

Confidentiality – It is imperative that there is trust that the counseling session is a safe place to express your thoughts and feelings. Therefore, what is talked about in counseling is private unless there is a concern of safety. Caregivers will be informed of all reported and concerns of safety matters. You will also be assisted in managing the situation most effectively. When it is clinically appropriate, I highly encourage caregiver participation in treatment services. Caregiver participation can offer the necessary support for children outside the session and increase the effective communication in the parent-child relationship.

COVID-19

In light of our community health concerns, we have implemented further precautions such as:

  • Sanitizing areas throughout the office more frequently between clients, as well as daily sanitizing.
  • Installing air purifiers in common areas.
  • Virtual Sessions are always available, and we especially encourage you to utilize them if you, your therapist, or any of your household members are sick or have been instructed to self-quarantine and feel well enough for a virtual session.
  • We ask that to help us keep our community healthy and slow of the spread of potential germs, that clients wash their hands or use hand sanitizer when they enter the office.
  • More importantly we are asking our clients to please call the office and reschedule your appointment if you or anyone in your immediate household has a fever or developed flu like symptoms or has a fever.
  • We would be happy to give a courtesy rescheduled appointment even if it’s under our usual 24-hour policy.
  • Additional outdoor waiting area and seating is available

Moving forward we ask that no sick children or adults be brought to the office even if they do not have appointments (siblings, friends from school, etc.)
Please bear in mind that if any of our team members are showing signs of illness/fever, they will also be sent home, which will have an effect on our schedule/appointments.
Please call our office should you have any questions at 239-221-6370 and also feel free to visit the CDC website www.cdc.gov for more information on how to keep you and your family safe.
