My name is Eliza, and I’m a master’s-level counseling intern currently pursuing my M.A. in
Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in
psychology from Clemson University in 2023, and since then, I’ve been passionate about
understanding who my clients are, who they want to be, and discovering how WE can make the
connection between the two. I believe that we are all capable of doing hard things, so my goal as
a counselor is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported
through life’s challenges.
My experience as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) provided me with a strong
foundation in understanding the needs of children and their families. Additionally, my time as a
master’s-level counselor at Florida Memorial University allowed me to support college students
navigating the unique challenges of emerging adulthood while also strengthening my skills in
multicultural counseling. My academic background and counseling experience thus far has paved
a path for me to continue developing professionally with AIM. I have joined AIM as a master’s-
level student intern to grow alongside other passionate professionals who share a commitment to
serving the Bonita Springs community while I work towards graduating and obtaining licensure.
Outside of session, I enjoy exploring new food spots, enjoying a beach day or hike, traveling,
creating and listening to music, and spending time with those closest to me.
