Hello, my name is Lyndsey Graff, and I am a Registered Mental Health Care Intern here at Aim Counseling, Wellness & Consulting. I recently graduated with my Master of Arts from Florida Gulf Coast University. During my time obtaining my master’s degree, I was able to work in a variety of settings with different populations and ages. I was able to gain experience with working with behavioral outburst, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, executive functioning, grief and loss, and other mental health conditions.
Through my education and experience, I was able to expand my knowledge and perspective about how resilient children, adolescents, and adults truly are. Being able to use different modalities of therapy such as integrated approaches has allowed for me to not just focus on the cognitive aspect of mental health counseling, but also on the behavioral and humanistic approaches. Using different interventions such as talk therapy, expressive arts, and simply meeting the client where they are at, has given me the privilege to see progress and change.
